reMarkable Just Launched a Web App — And Most Users Don't Know It Exists
Share
No download. No installation. No desktop app required.
reMarkable quietly launched a web app in beta — and it changes how you access your notes from any device.
Here's everything you need to know.
What Is the reMarkable Web App?
It's a browser-based version of your reMarkable workspace.
You open it at app.remarkable.com — on any computer, any browser — and your files are right there.
No need to install anything. No need to have your device nearby.
It's currently rolling out in beta as part of the OS 3.27 update, so not every user has access yet. But if you do — you'll see a Feedback button in the app. reMarkable is actively listening.
What You Can Do With It
📁 Upload, view, and organize your files Your notebooks and documents, accessible from the browser. Add folders, move files, keep things organized — without touching the device.
📄 Convert to Notebook The web app is now the main home for Convert to Notebook. Import a Word doc, Google Doc, or .txt file directly from the browser and turn it into an editable notebook on your reMarkable.
🔗 Create a shareable link Generate a web link for any notebook and share it with anyone — no reMarkable account needed on their end. They open it in their browser and see your notes instantly.
Why This Actually Matters
Until now, managing your reMarkable files from a computer meant installing the desktop app.
That's a small friction — but it's friction. Especially if you're on a work computer where you can't install software, or if you're away from your main machine.
The web app removes that completely.
Your reMarkable workflow is no longer tied to one computer. It goes with you.
What It Doesn't Do (Yet)
This is a beta. It's not the full desktop app experience.
You can't annotate documents in the browser. You can't edit notebooks. And Convert to Text isn't available here — that still happens on the device or through the desktop app.
reMarkable has been clear that the web app is a starting point — and that they're building toward delivering new features faster through it.
So expect this to grow.
How to Access It
- Go to app.remarkable.com
- Log in with your reMarkable account
- If you're in the first wave — your files will be there
If you don't have access yet, it's rolling out gradually over the next few weeks. Keep checking.
The Bigger Picture
reMarkable has always been a device-first experience.
The web app is a signal that they're thinking beyond the device — making your notes more accessible, more shareable, and more connected to the rest of your workflow.
And that's exactly the direction that makes reMarkable more useful as a planning tool, not just a writing tool.
If you're using a structured planner on your device — weekly reviews, daily pages, project planning — being able to access and share that work from any browser is a real upgrade.
