You Don't Need a New reMarkable to Plan Better. Try This First.

The Paper Pure just dropped.
And yes — it's genuinely great.
Faster, lighter, more storage, best writing feel reMarkable has ever made.
But before you hit upgrade, honest question:
Are you actually using what you already have?
Because the most common thing I hear from reMarkable users isn't "I need a better device."
It's: "I have it, I love it, but I don't really know how to use it properly."
So here's where to start.
Start With a Brain Dump
Open a blank or dotted page — no structure, no rules.
Write everything that's in your head.
Tasks, worries, ideas, things you keep forgetting, things you've been putting off.
All of it. On the page.
The reMarkable is perfect for this because there are zero distractions pulling you away. No notifications. No tabs. Just you and the page.
Once it's all out — your head is clearer. And you can actually see what matters.
Pick Your Top 3 Priorities for the Day
Not 10. Not a full list.
Three things that — if you do them today — actually move something forward.
Write them at the top of your page. Circle them. Whatever makes them stand out.
Everything else goes below. It exists, but it's not the focus.
This is the simplest shift you can make and it changes everything about how your day feels.
Work in Blocks, Not Marathons
Pick one of your top 3. Set a timer — 25 minutes is the classic, but do what works for you.
Write on your reMarkable, work on your task, stay focused.
When the timer goes off — stop. Take 5 minutes away from the screen entirely.
Then come back and go again.
Your reMarkable doesn't ping you. It doesn't pull you away. That's the whole point — use that to your advantage.
Cut the Busy Work
If your task list is overwhelming, ask yourself one question about each item:
Does this actually move me toward something that matters?
If yes — keep it.
If it's just keeping you busy without getting you anywhere — drop it, delegate it, or move it to a "someday" page.
A reMarkable notebook is actually great for this. Create a page called "Someday" and park everything that doesn't need to happen today. Out of your head, off your priority list — but not lost.
What the Paper Pure Actually Changes
If you build this system on your current device and it works — then yes, the Paper Pure is a worthwhile upgrade.
50% faster response. 4x more storage. The same distraction-free writing experience, just smoother.
But the system comes first.
A better device runs your system better. It doesn't create the system for you.
